Audio & AV Systems Testing
Raise and lower the podium. If it functions up and down, that test is good.
If it does not go up and down, then the AV run needs to be patched into the network switch in the AV cabinet.
Test AV audio. Play church-appropriate music (Enya is a good option) through the mic at the pulpit.
Turn on the system at the pulpit pedestal, typically behind the pulpit.
Test the overflow area. Open the sliding divider past the infrared sensor.
When the sliding divider is past the sensor, you should hear audio in the overflow area.
Test the Cultural Center (Gym). Open the divider past the infrared sensor to ensure
audio is present in the Cultural Center.
Check the Relief Society and Primary rooms. Walk to each room to confirm you can hear the music
(system set to chapel; ensure it is set to chapel in that room). In Primary and Relief Society rooms you may find
wall controls — set them to chapel and your music should come through.
Cameras
These are Church-approved cameras — Clear Touch RL-400 or RL-500 (networked), or Sony.
Member furnished. Members may have furnished their own cameras. If they are
connected to the network, confirm use with CompuCom PMO and they will confirm with FM. If possible
to maintain the connection, do so if in doubt (Black Work).
